Description
The Logistics Analyst I – Domestics supports operational and strategic initiatives for the Logistics Department. The Logistics Analyst will collaborate with internal and external partners to support the movement of goods while focusing on cost, flow, and transit time. The analyst will identify process improvement opportunities as well as tactical and strategic opportunities that will support overall company goals.
- Provide internal customer service for Merchandising and Planning/Allocations/Replenishment teams to communicate vendor shipping performance, support product launches and track shipments
- Partner with key vendors to obtain weekly shipping forecasts; work with carriers to secure capacity to support the volume
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Supply chain integration and vendors on product flow and tracking of bulky merchandise as necessary to support the business
- Support the transition and act as a central point of contact for IB and OB freight claims, store to store transfers, fixture hub and closing stores transfers and other duties required to support the domestic logistics department
- Provide backup support for the processing and collecting of financial, operational and budgeting for domestic transportation
What we’re looking for
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree focus in Business, Finance, Logistics or Supply Chain.
Experience: 1-3 years Knowledge of the transportation industry
Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills:
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data and summarize into clear, accurate, meaningful, value-added reports and analysisGeneral knowledge and appreciation of Global Supply Chain terminology
- High proficiency with excel (v/h look-ups, cell named value, if statements, advanced formulas)
- Customer focused with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams
