As a Local Market Product Lead, you will bring your passion for wellbeing and the outdoors to life in our store by coaching and encouraging our explorers to incorporate locally sourced and sustainable focused food and wellness items into their outdoor lifestyle and experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to engage and educate explorers with fun and interactive experiences around leading a healthy nourished life and how it can bring out the best in their next adventure. As a lead you will be expected to provide thoughtful product and locally sourced solution recommendations that fit the needs of each explorer who visits Public Lands.
Assist and educate explorers on locally sourced and sustainable focused food and wellness solutions offered in the store while providing advice on how to incorporate these solutions into their everyday life
Demonstrate ability to genuinely interact with explorers showing passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment in their wellbeing and health with the ability to accurately communicate product information and benefits to our explorers
Support Company standards of selling and customer service by providing a friendly environment, this includes greeting and acknowledging every explorer as they visit our store and maintaining solid product knowledge
Act as Brand Ambassador
Continued enhancement of product knowledge by learning the background, sourcing, and production techniques, as well as the features, advantages, and benefits of the brands/products we carry while staying on top of industry related trends
Build brand awareness and loyalty in the community by developing meaningful relationships within the local foods/farms, juicers, and health communities by participating in events and creating unique in-store experiences for the explorer
Schedule and host in-store events/seminars ensuring a safe and memorable experience for the explorer
Deliver Operational Excellence
Uphold Public Lands standards for merchandise presentation by following established floor sets, signing requirements, price changes, replenishment and recovery processes, in-stock, etc.
Promote company programs including but not limited to PL loyalty program, in-store experiences and services, and other seasonal promotions
Complete sales transactions and use register/point of sale systems
Assist other departments where and as needed
Develop marketing plans for the products you support in conjunction with CSC business partners, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing explorers and the acquisition of new explorers
Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support externally, including speaking engagements and written works
Accountable for the ordering process for all product within department
Manage inventory of product; conduct quarterly audits to ensure accurate inventory and to capture shrink
