As a Boot Fitter, you keep our explorers comfortable and safe on the slopes! The ideal candidate for this role is skilled and experienced in the art of boot fitting to ensure each explorer is properly fit to the appropriate boot to support their skill/expertise level within the areas of both ski and snow specifically shell molding, shaving and expanding services, boot liner heating and molding and insole/footbed adjustments.
Boot Fitter for Ski and Snow Responsibilities:
Assess and address needs of the explorer based on their feet (biomechanics of the feet/lower extremities as it relates to skiing) to determine what boots will work for their individual needs
Develop solutions for explorer by listening to their needs and recommending the appropriate products; build customer confidence and help make product selections
Understand flex and possess the ability to determine the flex needs of the individual skier; can effectively identify and preform shell sizing
Possess a firm understanding of correct sizing, trimming and finishing for foot-beds and is capable of solving simple fit problems resulting from oversized ski boots and shimming
Have basic buckle replacement knowledge and capability with the ability to change replaceable toe and heels
Safely use power tools and shop equipment, including but not limited to, bench grinders, drill motors, flex grinders and their accessories and bits
Sales Floor Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and organized boot shop and sales area
Re-stock socks, foot-beds and other boot accessories
Possess detailed knowledge of product benefits and features
Demonstrate product uses and operation and provides details about merchandise specifications, maintenance, care, delivery, and warranties
Complete sales transactions
Assist in other departments as needed
