What You’ll Do In This Role
Description
DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician I to join our distribution center team in East Point, GA on 2nd shift.
Maintenance Technician I Teammates at the DICK’S Sporting Goods Distribution Center are responsible for ensuring proper building / conveyor flow & proper operations / maintenance & up time of lift truck fleet. Additionally there are times which require work outside in all types of inclement weather within the Atlanta Distribution Center.
2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 4:30pm to 3:00am
Essential Functions of this position include:

Ensures proper conveyor operations/maintenance up time & product flow

Ensures proper operations/maintenance & up time of lift truck fleet
-
Ensures proper operations/maintenance of all building/grounds equipment
-
System operating reporting
-
Tends to operation members needs
-
Required to work at heights & be trained on multiple aerial lift type equipment
-
Follows proper safety procedures to meet DKS/OSHA standards
-
Other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for
Qualifications
Experience:
-
Associate’s Degree
-
2 year technical degree or equivalent acquired skills in welding, hydraulics/pneumatics, HVAC
-
1-3 years of experience
Success Profile:
-
Good understanding of electrical or mechanical drawings & applications
-
Understand electro-mechanical systems
-
Knowledge of lift truck equipment and software
-
Acquired skills in welding, cutting & metal fabrication
-
Ability to learn on the fly in a fast paced environment
-
Understand basic troubleshooting electrical & mechanical systems principle
-
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs
