With our Sports Matter initiative, the DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation, and many more real-world efforts, we’re making a tangible difference in our communities.
KEEP ON TRUCKING
In 2021, the Sports Matter Giving Truck hit the road for three special, surprise-filled trips, traveling a total of 24,469 miles across the continental United States to provide sports equipment to 104 youth sports organizations in under-resourced communities.
GIRL POWER
We invited girls ages 13-17 to apply to be part of our first-ever Girls’ Power Panel. Girls from nearly every U.S. state responded for an opportunity to provide their thoughts on relevant sports topics, product offerings, and ways we can help get more girls and women involved in sports.
HIT THE RINK
DICK'S is teaming up with the Pittsburgh Penguins to provide training and mentorship opportunities for Black youth hockey players in the Pittsburgh region.
GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY
As part of the “1% for the Planet” initiative, we awarded more than half a million dollars to 15 grantees with a focus on preserving and protecting public lands.
SCHOOL’S IN
The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation established a new long-term partnership with the McKeesport Area School District to create a new school model — United at Twin Rivers – focused on building healthy minds, healthy bodies, and healthy relationships.
