OVERVIEW:

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The football ambassador is a technically focused role that is centered around providing a differentiated experience specifically to football enthusiasts of all levels. This individual will pull from personal experiences & knowledge of the game to provide strong product recommendations that align to the athlete’s needs.

  • Meets the athlete where they are in their football journey, creating a tailored and unparalleled customer service experience by adapting sales style appropriate

  • Leverages on-the-field expertise to provide recommendations that meets the athlete’s needs / goals

  • Translates / aligns product technology to the athlete’s needs and preferences, contributing to and enhancing the athlete’s overall game day experience.

  • Outfits athletes with appropriate equipment, cleats, apparel, accessories and protection plans to equip them for any occasion - from practice/training to game day.

  • On occasion, participates in Football Universities across the nation to test and learn new products and technologies in order to then share knowledge and insights with both teammates and athletes

  • Partners with store teammates by regularly utilizing training materials to educate others on new cleats and football-related products

  • Maintains merchandise presentation standards and signage of Football Department to Company standards as directed.

  • Aligns with Community Marketing Manager for Shop Day Events, football gear pick-up, and in store football registration, etc

  • Adheres to established policies & procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.

  • Takes an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the stores

  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

We also look for our Football Ambassador to:

  • Quickly build rapport with football athletes of all experience and skill levels by discussing (i.e., latest technology, NCAA partnerships, NFL partnership, Football Activations, leagues and players, etc.)

  • Able to simplify insights when speaking with newer players, yet also builds rapport with seasoned professionals by leveraging their on-the-field experience and league knowledge

  • Be actively involved in football-related activities (i.e., refs, coaches, associates with competitive clubs, plays outdoor or indoor leagues, etc.) and / or stays up to date on every aspect of the game

  • Be one who leans on expertise of the game to understand and align the athlete’s needs to appropriate products (i.e., shoulder pads/helmets/accessories, standard or elevated cleats, training equipment, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3years of Retail or Team Sports experiencepreferred, but not required
