OVERVIEW:

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and business partners to define objectives, scope, and project execution time and action in support of key projects across the Store Planning and Space Management functions.

  • Define and set expectations to drive and facilitate project meetings. Ensure objectives are met and actions are clearly outlined.

  • Manage all aspects of key projects across the department including issue/risk identification and resolution, change management, reporting and internal/external communication, financial management, metrics, etc.

  • Actively drive accountability between all key cross-functional teams and external vendors involved by gathering status updates, completion progress and misses to deadlines or budget.

  • Identify barriers and obstacles that will impact timely execution of all project deliverables. Ideate options to problem solve in partnership with stakeholders until alignment is gained. Set action plan and drive execution to overcome.

  • Drive outcome based decisions that will allow initiatives to move faster to deliver department goals.

  • Present project updates, project cycle and expected results to key stakeholders, including Executive Leadership across the division and cross-functional partners.

  • Research and complete due diligence for all analytics and data to support each project within span of control. Create reporting, as needed, to ensure monitoring of all project KPIs (time, budget, ROI, etc.).

Process Improvement and Operational Excellence

  • Review and assess all departmental level processes across Store Planning and Space Management. Identify critical path to success for each and identify opportunities to drive efficiencies and operational excellence. This includes generating new techniques, solutions or technology needs that can improve delivery quality, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

  • Develop reporting needs to assess and measure the department’s ability to meet or exceed project and release deadlines and budget. Share results with group and department leaders to hold teammates accountable

  • Create consistent departmental standards and best practices to ensure all project and release deadlines are met with efficiencies. Hold teammates accountable for deadline adherence, inefficiencies and accurate execution.

  • Provide recommendations and action steps to remove roadblocks, gaps or duplicative efforts that hinder speed to market within budget.

Cross-Functional Partnerships

  • Act as a subject matter expert on all cross-functional projects, ensuring teammates are building action plans in accordance with the operational standards of the store planning and space management department.

  • Determine actionable opportunities to assign ownership across project teams, including providing accountability measure to ensure success of each project deliverable

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Operations, Finance or related field

  • 7-10 years of experience required in the following retail functions: Visual Merchandising, Planning, Buying, Store Operations or Store Design

  • CSPM or PMP certification preferred

  • Experience with Workfront, Microsoft Project or other project management software, preferred

  • Demonstrated high-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, required

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead multiple projects, in a fast paced and dynamic environment

  • Ability to confidently present to Executive Leadership

  • Excellent relationship building skills among a wide range of stakeholders

  • Strong cross-functional knowledge in a variety of retail functions, including Merchandising, Store Ops, Planning, Visual Merchandising and Store Design
