OVERVIEW:
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive in market research, to assess macro level trends within the licensed business to drive a strategic vision. Shop trending brands and retailers to identify innovation, consumer shifts and market direction.
Inform decision making about daily sports trends in collaboration with the Buying teams through presentation of findings to improve speed to market and reaction time.
Act as the subject matter expert in sports trends through research. Share expertise with buying partners to ensure direction aligns to the athlete and product categories.
Shop DSG stores, as well as other comparative retail stores, to identify new trends and opportunities, evaluate merchandise mix, evaluate competition, and translate findings into executable product plans.
Works closely with each member of their team to ensure appropriate development opportunities are happening including feedback, stretch assignments, performance management and career development conversations. Interview candidates and make hiring decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
Four year college degree in marketing, merchandising or business related field
7-10 years experience
Experience in a leadership/ management role
