OVERVIEW:
The Logistics Analyst plays a critical role in advancing both the operational excellence and strategic evolution of the Logistics Department through effective use of the Transportation Management System (TMS). This position serves as a key driver in the configuration, optimization, and governance of the TMS, ensuring data integrity, system reliability, and seamless day‑to‑day operations. Acting as a trusted subject matter expert, the analyst partners closely with Supply Chain, Information Technology, Product, Merchandising, External Business Partners, and the TMS software provider to design efficient processes, resolve complex issues, and support informed decision‑making across the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable system solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives leveraging the Transportation Management System, including:
- Documenting current‑state processes and collaborating cross‑functionally to design future‑state solutions
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Executing system testing, user acceptance testing, and end‑user training
- Provide TMS production support documenting issues, troubleshooting system behavior, and validating fixes and enhancements. Serve as the subject matter expert for transportation processes as they interact with broader Supply Chain systems. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by reviewing, validating, and maintaining critical system data with a high degree of precision, proactively identifying discrepancies, and resolving data quality issues.
- Support procurement and network realignment initiatives through a TMS perspective by configuring, maintaining, and updating system
- Lead and contribute to ad-hoc Supply Chain analyses and projects, developing clear, actionable insights and supporting materials using Excel and PowerPoint for leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree focus in Business, Finance, Logistics or Supply Chain
- 1 - 3 years' knowledge of the transportation industry
- General appreciation for Supply Chain technology solutions, including TMS, WMS, Yard Management and EDI
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
