OVERVIEW:

TheSenior Analyst- Floor Planning, is responsible for the creation and maintenance for store floorplans within the JDA Software. Evaluate space productivity within each store specific drawing and make recommendations that support the Dick's Corporate Brand and improve financial results. Provides leadership and direction to Floor Analysts to ensure all strategies are executed to a high degree of accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the merchant organization (DMM, GMM, VP of Replenishment) to translate their strategic vision into store specific and prototypical floorplans with consideration for brand image, space allocation, category adjacencies, item placement and customer experience
  • Supervise Floor Planning Analysts. Meet with direct reports on a regular basis providing guidance and support to manage workload and timelines. Monitor quality results of space and merchandise plans prior to publication to ensure all plans are accurate and executable at store level. Collaborate with Sr Space Analysts to ensure all planogram/store assignments are correct prior to completion of floorplans

  • Develop and produce Heat Maps showing space productivity. Analyze performance metrics and provide recommendations to Space, Visual and Merchant teams that identify potential opportunities to improve space productivity

  • Create forecast model Heat Maps and provide space recommendations for potential new stores and remodels. Coordinate with space and floor planning teams to ensure that merchandise and space plans are complete and accurate for new stores, remodels, and prototypes.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional teams (Buyers, Planning, Allocation, Marketing, Store Operations, Risk and LP) Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop knowledge

  • Collaborate with total Floor Plan teams to provide fact based recommendations on space reallocation to resolve conflicting requests between departments

  • Manage the completion of Special Projects as assigned by supervisor (special store projects, new store reviews, strategy expansions, and department resets, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Merchandising, Marketing

5-7 years of experience in Space planning, store design, field retail, merchandising, buying, inventory management, or related role

Experience with: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Visio

Experience with: JDA Intactix Suite -Space, Floor, IKB, Autocad
