OVERVIEW:
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Set and manage enterprise item level lifecycle pricing strategy. Evaluate and recommend promotions and markdowns for Regular Price inventory. Develop and implement strategies to effectively liquidate non-go-forward merchandise.
Partner with merchandising, marketing, operations, and visual merchandising on strategies and tactics to ensure that programs are operating in an effective and productive manner. Implement processes and controls to track aging inventory and ensure markdowns are taken in a timely manner.
Analyze sales and inventory trends and proactively manage KPIs against targets.
Optimize pricing in the Going, Going, Gone banner balancing inventory productivity and profitability for regular price assortment and maximizing cash recovery for clearance transfers.
Represent the business as development partner for Pricing Systems and Analytics. Align on product pipeline in pricing management, pricing delivery and data science. Establish relations with external vendors and participate in the design of internally developed solutions.
Evaluate current state systems, processes, and tools for potential future state improvement to ensure our operational environment can adapt to the changing demands of retail and customer expectations/experiences.
Lead pricing operations team responsible for coordinating and executing all price changes across all banners/channels. Partner with merchandising, marketing, operations, and IT teams to ensure all elements of execution are addressed in an accurate and timely manner.
Develop and enhance processes intended to improve pricing accuracy execution as well as expediency of error resolutions.
Provide macro-level, division-wide guidance on key pricing trends. Evaluate competitors & marketplace dynamics to assess impact on Dick's business & develop pricing strategy recommendations. Build competitive intelligence processes and systems support.
Optimize everyday pricing through portfolio management and testing and control. Leverage deep understanding of the business to establish and test pricing hypotheses, measure results, and develop pricing strategy insights and implications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
10-15 years of experience, including 10+ years business experience (Retail buying, planning, and allocations preferred).
Demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work cross functionally. Skilled at gaining agreement with peers and higher level management.
Strong knowledge of regional assortment needs, market and competitor influences.
Ability to identify and articulate process, business or system skills
