The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing sales and margin forecasts, financial analysis and decision support for the eCommerce business. This includes diagnostics on performance, and strong collaboration with the eCommerce, Merchandising and Analytics teams.

Sales and Margin Forecast and Budget

  • Develop the daily merchandise sales and margin forecast leveraging trends, expectations for product launches, and promotional/clearance activity
  • Develop forecast and budget for shipping revenue
  • Analyze significant variances to forecast, determine drivers, and future implications
  • In conjunction with the eComm business, develop the annual budget including drivers of planned sales & margin growth

Business Analytics and Reporting

  • Leverage our data warehouse to identify key performance drivers, marketing effectiveness, change in traffic sources and devices.
  • Monitor and diagnose any unforeseen gaps between Demand and Fulfilled sales
  • Non-Routine analytics on promotional events
  • Provide sales/margin data and insights for discussions with key stakeholders and business leaders (Monthly Business Review, PAR/Finance meeting)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Estimate value of eCommerce promotions/events for business planning and forecasting purposes, and completing post-mortem financial analysis of promotions/events
  • On a monthly basis, complete banner-level sales and margin reporting for pro forma banner-level financial statements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree-MBA/CPA a plus

  • 5-7 Years of Experience

  • Prefer knowledge of MS Excel, PeopleSoft Financials and Hyperion
