OVERVIEW:

Summary Description:

This job is responsible for providing strategic sourcing project support to the Dick's Category Sourcing Manager for CapEx Special Projects. Key responsibilities and objectives include: project management support, data collection, event (RFx) development, supplier and stakeholder management, bid analysis, placing purchase orders, and review/process invoices.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide project management support for each strategic sourcing event. This includes timeline management, preparing key communication and ensuring timely completion of action items.

• Manage all up-front data collection and cleansing efforts. This includes developing and validating the scope of work, specifics and requirements, and financial baseline for the strategic sourcing event and building cost breakdown documents.

• Conduct supplier, industry and market research for assigned categories to assist in sourcing strategy development. Develop a preferred supplier list by category.

• Develop and prepare all sourcing event documentation. Manage the communication cadence with the suppliers throughout the duration of the strategic sourcing event.

• Develop accurate, detailed bid analysis at the conclusion of the strategic sourcing event and present to business stakeholders. Align with business stakeholders on budget approvals, place purchase orders for approved products/services, and review/process invoices. Ensure on-time delivery of all products/services.

• Create strong working relationships with key business stakeholders (specifically the Visual Project Management team) and across the Non-Merchandise Procurement team.

• Engage in interdepartmental collaboration through meetings, process‑improvement efforts, and ongoing training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or related Business Field

• Three to five years of experience

• Sourcing & procurement exposure, Technology & eCommerce spend categories (preferred), data analytics, prior project management experience, retail experience (preferred)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

• Sourcing & procurement technology (Ariba or equivalent)

• PeopleSoft Financials or equivalent

• Experience in spend data analytics

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint (Preferred)

• Ability to multi-task and problem solve

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Demonstrated attention to details and deadlines
