OVERVIEW:
The Teammate Relief Fund (TRF) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides monetary support to teammates when they need it most - during times of hardships and unforeseen crises. As a TRF Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the grantmaking operations of the TRF. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing all grant applications & disbursements, leading the TRF Review & Appeals Committee, coordinating program awareness communications, and supports improvements as directed. Fundraising assistance may be needed at the discretion of the TRF Fundraising Lead.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Grant Applications & Disbursements:
Oversee application decision-making process in its entirety. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing applications, providing applicant customer service, coordinating application management with other application reviewers, and escalating decisions or appeals to the TRF Review Committee as needed.
Perform application reviews and displays sound judgement to determine the correct pathway for each application. This work is primarily done with the TRF Fundraising Coordinator, with the TRF Fundraising Lead as backup.
Liaise with Payroll Services to ensure that grants are paid appropriately and in a timely fashion.
Utilize the GrantsConnect platform to track the application process flow to completion. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, clear customer service communications, and ensuring that PII is stored according to DICK'S Sporting Goods policies and applicable laws or regulations.
Coordinate TRF Review Committee activities including designing application review and appeals processes & procedures, consulting on member selection, convening & managing Committee meetings, and providing all required information to support the Committee's audit & appeals activities.
Provide effective and empathetic customer service, exercising discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Grantmaking Communications & Infrastructure:
Implement program communications to ensure awareness among teammates across the enterprise.
Collect teammate impact stories for use in grantmaking & fundraising communications.
Document all grantmaking guidelines, policies, and procedures, working closely with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure best practices and alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
Work with GrantsConnect support to identify operational efficiencies, design accurate grantmaking reporting to support program analysis, and to remove application friction points for teammates.
Support data analysis projects to guide future program development
Other Tasks:
Support TRF team at fundraising events throughout the year.
Occasional travel to DCs and Stores as required to support program awareness.
Consult with the TRF Fundraising Coordinator on fundraising strategies for DCs + Stores populations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
1-3 years of experience in Non-Profit Program Management and/or Grant and Proposal submissions and/or Fundraising
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Customer-service oriented
Strong interpersonal and client consultation skills
Problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities
