Our technology team works remotely from all over the United States, but we provide virtual and in-person events for the team to connect, learn, and collaborate.

Across our product design, product management, software engineering, innovation, security and foundational spaces, we believe in experimentation, being lean and iterating on continuous feedback. Our culture breaks down barriers so teams can work together, both in Technology and across our business, so we can help our Athletes and Teammates better their best. We take a design thinking approach to deliver what our Athletes and Teammates want, when and where they want it. Through ideating, testing and launching products quickly, we test and learn and make data-driven decisions to provide transformational experiences for our Athletes, helping them better their best. We also provide the information and knowledge to our Teammates to give them the tools to be our Athletes’ trusted advisor on their journey.

CONTINUOUS DELIVERY

Technology at DICK’S Sporting Goods uses Agile, Scrum, Extreme Programming, and Kanban methodologies to deploy quickly. In some instances, solutions have been deployed to our Teammates and Athletes within a few hours of the initiative launching. Our methodologies enable continuous delivery and give Teammates autonomy to build meaningful solutions.

We are tool agnostic and believe the needs of the product and the team come first. That’s why we empower our teams to use the right tools for their work. Some of the tools and technologies we use include Java, Dotnet, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Kafka, GitHub, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, Angular, and React.
